Job Description:

Brooksource is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our local Federal client. In this role, you will provide testing support for web applications within the Business Application System team, ensuring product quality and functionality. Top Skills and Ideal Candidate Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or related work experience in information technology
• 2+ years of experience in software testing, primarily as a Manual Quality Assurance Test Engineer
• Proficiency in testing web pages and related content on multiple devices and browsers
• Experience writing test scripts and test cases for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot quality assurance testing issues
• Experience in an Agile work environment using Scrum methodologies and tools (Digital.ai or similar)
• Ability to quickly understand current business processes and products

Day to Day:

• Provide testing support for web applications, executing manual test scripts and performing ad-hoc testing
• Create test cases for requirement and acceptance criteria validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing
• Assist in writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria for testable functionality
• Conduct testing for application releases, including new development and existing functionality
• Test in a Content Management System environment across various browsers and mobile devices, identifying any issues from CMS changes
• Support application and environmental upgrades and assist with issue resolution
• Document, analyze, and communicate test results, aiding in bug identification and resolution
