What This Position is All About:
The Senior Data Scientist will specialize in marketing analytics and have deep understanding of our customer data, and modeling techniques in order for the business to make the most of our data. This person is responsible for improving our customer acquisition through better data driven decisioning. This individual needs to be able to lead through influence and work closely with peers and stakeholders.
The right candidate will perform strategic business analysis for various departments and synthesize findings to present to business leaders. These analyses will provide the foundation for future business strategies. The data that this candidate will model and analyze will then be used to monitor and identify areas for improvement. The right candidate will have the opportunity to further their knowledge in analytics within the digital marketing space and collaborate with various digital marketing channels to create holistic solutions for the marketing team. This candidate would also have the opportunity to leverage machine learning to improve customer experience across channels such as email and Saks OFF5th website. This candidate will also provide guidance to junior team members.

- Lead the development of our segmentation, personalization and many other retention models.
- Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights for project and ad hoc requests.

You Also Have:
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in working on data science teams.
- Experience with a variety of ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, lightgbm, pytorch, keras, tensorflow, hugging face, econ-ml)
- Strong expertise in marketing measurement, MMM, LTV, causal analysis, and segmentation.
- Expertise solving complex optimization problems.
- Some experience in retail or passion for fashion is a plus.
- Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
