The Director of Sales (Out of Home Media)
In addition, this position will have financial responsibility for forecasting and managing the top line performance of their sales team. This includes the use of sales CRM tool and other internal management and reporting software programs.
This position is required to in office at our Minneapolis, MN HQ five days per week. It is not a remote position and would require a relocation if the candidate does not live in the Twin Cities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Revenue Generation
- Develop revenue to meet or exceed sales quotas and profitability goals for the sales team.
- Help create revenue goals and strategies for their sales team personnel and manage their performance to meet or exceed goals.
- Help oversee the logistics of client delivery to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Financial Accountabilities
- Achieve or exceed their client team revenue quota.
- Provide accurate, detailed sales forecast information to AOM leadership on a weekly basis and as required.
- Effectively manage deal profitability.
- Consistently manage the individual performance of sales team members to achieve or exceed quota.
Analysis
- Apply financial and market data to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.
- Use data resources to assess the business, identify potential opportunities, and manage the annual revenue plan.
- Creative use of research data to prospect for future clients.
- Track the sales performance metrics of their sales team using CRM, financial reporting software, and data to drive revenue performance.
Product and Services Knowledge
- Demonstrate and maintain a depth of knowledge around the advertising and media markets, trends, and technological advancements.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of client products and service offerings and a working knowledge of the OOH media world.
- Travel 25% - 50% of the time.
Required Skills/Experience
- 7+ years of direct sales experience, preferably with a background in media.
- 5+ years of proven history of success in sales management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and experience.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and other related applications/tools.
- Experience with current CRM applications, preferably SalesForce.com.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to their sales team.
- Build and maintain a positive, high performing sales culture within their team.
- Oversee the recruitment and retention of sales team members.
- Oversee the development, training and coaching of their sales people.
- Manage the accountability of their sales team members to goals and expectations.
- Oversee all sales personnel management including disciplinary actions and policy enforcement.
