WiFI Dev Lead- / Wi-Fi Development lead

Responsibilities:

1. Strong programming skills in C and understanding of Linux system programming.
2. Familiarity with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
3. Proficiency in Linux and experience in configuring, customizing, and building OpenWRT packages.
4. Understanding of wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, and how to configure wireless interfaces via Open vSwitch.
5. Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
6. Understanding of embedded systems and experience working with low-level hardware.
7. Awareness of security best practices, including understanding encryption, authentication, and network security.
8. Understanding of SDN solutions and experience in plume solution integrations.
9. Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
10. Scripting skills in shell languages like Bash.
11. Knowledge of build root build system and DevOps tools like Docker and GitLab integrations.
12. Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements.
13. Tests and evaluates systems, subsystems, and components.
14. Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices.
15. Develops software update processes for existing products and assists in roll-out of software releases.
16. The ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software requirements in the networking landscape.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $128K to $150K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
