Job Responsibilities

• Perform database administration and support for other databases as needed.
• Perform database installation, patch updates, and release upgrades.
• Assist with migrations.
• Ensure optimal performance and high availability for databases in high volume 24x7 operations to meet or exceed service metrics.
• Develop database monitoring and reporting tools.
• Develop and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Create procedures and implement periodic testing of the strategies.
• Set up and maintain effective backup, restore, and verification procedures for databases.
• Develop and implement operational support plans and procedures for database Unix, Solaris, Linux, and RMAN.
• Travel/relocation required as jobs to be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Salary

$129,854.00 / year

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related, Math, or any Engineering.

Experience

5 years as a Database Administrator or related.
