Are you a Spa operations leader looking for an exciting new opportunity? Bayside Spa at Horseshoe Bay Resort is in search of a Director of Spa and Fitness to expertly guide our staff through upcoming expansion and development - we're building a new Spa facility! The Director of Spa and Fitness will provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa and Fitness department, including, but not limited to receptionists, massage therapists, cosmetologists, and the pool area. The Director will maintain inventory levels, manage payroll, and conduct etiquette training.

Definition:

Primary responsibility is to provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa and Fitness department, including, but not limited to receptionists, massage therapists, cosmetologists, and pool area. The Director will maintain inventory levels, manage payroll, and conduct etiquette training. Provide Horseshoe Bay Resort members, guests, and associates with necessary program guidance and coaching to ensure a positive attainment of organizational goals.

General Duties:

  • Develop an annual operating budget, review financial results, and report progress to the General Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Review and approve any purchase orders.
  • Create staffing models, review work schedules, and approve all personnel decisions prior to any action by the operations managers.
  • This position requires the Director to be highly visible in all areas on a daily basis and take a “hands on” approach to assist the front line staff when necessary.
  • The Director has frequent personal contact with resort members, guests, and vendors to resolve conflicts and insure the highest quality of service is being delivered at all outlets.
  • The Director is often called upon to complete special projects assigned by the General Manager.

Employment Standards:

  • Four-year college degree with 10 years senior level operations management or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A working understanding of spa and fitness operations.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with Windows and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit, have the ability to bend and stoop.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to interact with co-workers and customers and have a sense of TEAM.
