We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Asset Management Leader to join our dynamic team in the water and wastewater business line of Garver. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of asset management experience, with a proven track record of business development and extensive personal connections within the industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead projects, foster client relationships, and drive the growth of our asset management services. The candidate must possess exceptional leadership skills, in-depth technical knowledge, and a passion for innovation in the water and wastewater sector.

The Principal Asset Management Leader role will include the following capabilities / responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the asset management services portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing proposals and negotiating contracts.
  • Lead and manage asset management projects for water and wastewater clients, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on asset management best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our services remain cutting-edge.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with other business units to integrate asset management solutions into broader service offerings.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

The successful candidate for this role with Garver will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 10 years of asset management experience in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Strong business development skills with a demonstrated ability to secure new projects and clients.
  • Extensive network and personal connections within the industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of asset management practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
