Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Kearny, NJ (fully on-site)
Work Schedule: Day Shift, full-time, M-F
Contract Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension or hirer, but no guarantee
Pay Rate: $20/hour - $25/hour
Responsibilities:
As a Lab Technician, you will be working under the direction of the Reliability Engineer. The team's primary focus is the development of new products and technologies and the improvement of existing products. You will provide technical support through testing in the R&D lab.
- Test, measure, characterize, and evaluate shaving products, components, and
prototypes using standard and custom instrumentation. - Work with the Innovation team to assemble, measure, and characterize test products.
- Support lab operations, assist with planning, and help maintain an organized and safe
environment in the lab. - Inspect and prepare samples for consumer testing.
- Work with sharp blades and objects and inspect them under a microscope.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand verbal and written technical instructions.
- A detail-oriented approach to work - you strive for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to own and execute work independently.
- Experience working with sensitive instrumentation preferred, but not required.
- Critical thinker with the ability to solve unexpected problems.
- Great communicator - Can summarize and present data understandably.
- Have a "no task too small, or repetitive" attitude.
- Have an aptitude and enthusiasm for doing hands-on work.
- Willingness, enthusiasm, and flexibility to help teammates as urgent needs arise.
