Safety SpecialistStable, growing organization is in need of an early career EHS professional that has a passion for safety. An ideal candidate will come from warehousing or manufacturing with a strong drive to be on the floor with operators to mentor and teach safety commitment. They should have a strong desire to be mentored and developed into a leadership role within a few years. The organization also supports career growth and continued education.The Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Operations Team, Team Leaders, Foremen, and all other teammates in all aspects of safety. This position will have a passion for leading and mentoring others in safety and will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements, with the priority of reducing or eliminating injuries and incidents.The Safety Specialist will mainly be responsible for:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provide support by maintaining a visible presence on the operating floors, performing site visits at least once per week per location. Coordinate visits with site leadersCoach and mentor teammates, trainers and leaders to ensure all safety expectations are understood and metRegularly audit facilities for food and life safety compliance and hazard identificationCoach, mentor and implement company’s EH&S programsMaintain all OSHA required records and reportsCoordinate completion of all safety requirements such as Hearing Conservation, industrial hygiene surveys, CPR/First Aid, etc.Lead safety and wellness ambassadors and empower members to develop and obtain specific safety goals and objectivesConduct new hire safety orientation, all teammate safety training, and ensure all required documentation concerning food or life safety is completedRegularly review and be familiar with the applicable legislation and standards to ensure compliance. Communicate any new or conflicting legislative matters that impact the companyAssist with all data entry for safety training and complianceAssist with implementing and administering hazard control methods, safety procedures, and security programsEnsure incidents are reported immediately; participate and assist in the investigation to determine root cause and corrective actionsMonitor and follow up on injured teammates with modified workUpdate safety board postings, first aid kits, etc. as neededEnsure all safety materials are available at the sites: EH&S manual, site safety inspection forms, observation forms, log books, fall protection plans, SDS books, etc.Prepare for and participate in all auditsCoordinate regular meetings with leadership to review issues, trends, audit findings, and upcoming events or conditions**If you’d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Crystal Meeks at : 57.27CM#LI-CM1Salary$60,000 - $80,000
