About Us:

  • At Sierra, we’re building a platform to enable every company in the world to build their own autonomous AI agents for everything from customer service to commerce. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco.

  • We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Competitive Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

  • Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor . Bret was most recently co-CEO of Salesforce, which had previously acquired the company he founded, Quip. Before founding Quip, Bret was the CTO of Facebook. Bret was one of Google's earliest product managers and one of the co-creators of Google Maps. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

What You'll Do:

  • Event Strategy and Alignment. Own Sierra’s event strategy and execution, including third party, owned, and field marketing events. This includes deciding which events we should participate in, what our presence at those events should look like, what the entire event lifecycle is from promotion to follow-up. Communicate event strategy and impact across the company to ensure alignment and momentum.

  • Event Execution and Operations. Work on multiple, simultaneous event and marketing programs that require both critical thinking as well as high-speed, tactical execution, ranging from annual conference management to onsite event support. Ensure each event is executed precisely, driving maximum impact. Manage event budgets, create and construct differentiated experiences, and ensure we show up in a way that is always on-brand.

  • Analytical Mindset. Evaluate, measure, and report on the strategic efficiency and return on investment of the event strategy.

  • Sales Partnership. Act as a strategic marketing liaison to Sales, including the representation and strategic positioning of key field events, marketing programs, third-party conferences, and partner marketing activities.

  • Marketing Generalist and X-Functional Leader. We are a growing team with big goals. In this role you’ll be asked to be an owner, leader and expert in your function, to build out that function over time, and also to contribute to broader company and marketing strategy.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably with a focus on event marketing.

  • Expertise marketing to an executive audience, delivering strong event oversight and leadership.

  • A solid understanding of the enterprise B2B third party event scene.

  • A proven track record of creating and executing owned events.

  • The ability to develop and deliver outstanding field events within a very high-velocity, shifting environment.

  • Exceptional program management skills with the ability to work independently against timelines within a fast-paced, changing environment while keeping a sharp eye on detail and accuracy.

  • A deep understanding of our customers, their needs, and the context in which they work.

  • A curiosity for data and an understanding of basic analytical and statistical techniques.

  • The ability to work across functional teams and with multiple collaborators, engaging with the broader team of marketers.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with an excellent ability to connect through writing, presentations, and storytelling.

  • Deep experience working with external vendors and marketing agencies.

Sample Projects:

  • Put together a proposal (including budget) for which third party events we should attend and sponsor in FY26, with details on which type of presence we should have at each event.

  • Assist our sales team in executing an intimate Q4 closing event with 20 top prospects and customers in NYC.

  • Build an H1 lookback on how our event strategy performed from a lead generation and maturation perspective.

Our Values:

  • Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

  • Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.

  • Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.

  • Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

  • Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
