Job Title: Air Systems Technician
Location: New Hudson / Grand Rapids, MI
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Systems Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing complete air systems and related equipment, primarily at client sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and excel in customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair air systems.
- Service large rotary screw air compressors (including two-stage and oil-free), vacuum pumps, blowers, refrigeration circuits, and system controls.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in the air systems industry.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with systems between 1000-2000 horsepower or pressures above 500 PSI.
- Manufacturer certification from large compressor companies.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Refrigeration certification or license is a plus.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience specifically in compressed air service.
- Experience in handling a range of equipment, including vacuum pumps, blowers, and related systems.
