Position: Medical Assistant
Facility: Fair Oaks Women's Health Crisis Response
Location : 625 S. Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA, 91105
Duration: 3 months contract (Extendable)
Hours: Day 5x8 Hour (08:00AM - 5:00PM)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years working as a MA in OBGYN
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic
• Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
• Phlebotomy certification
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
• Experience with OB/GYN Procedures: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, NST.
Job Duties:
• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
