As a Business Development Director in our interim practice, you will have a significant impact on the lives of our consultants and clients by connecting the right people to the right work. You will do this by building deep, meaningful relationships with senior business leaders. You will leverage your experience to act as a trusted advisor, help clients solve complex problems and align meaningful work that expands our consultant’s careers. This role offers a lucrative opportunity directly tied to personal revenue growth while working within a collaborative, dynamic team.

This role offers a hybrid work schedule and requires the selected candidate to go into the Minneapolis office 2-3 days/week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a specific book of business.
  • Drive business development efforts to align with the vision and overall objectives of the firm.
  • Ensure all current and prospective clients understand and comprehend the overall mission of Korn Ferry.
  • Interview, source and represent current and prospective consultants in opportunities that will continue to enhance their career objectives.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales goals and objectives for Korn Ferry.
  • Accountable for driving the business in a direction that ensures financial targets are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Project-oriented, analytical thinker open to communicating new ideas and strategies.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment while still acting in an independent, leadership capacity.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Directors working for our affiliate business lines to create brand awareness and growth potential.
  • Join professional networking organizations to represent Korn Ferry to the community.
  • Identify opportunities to join a Board or a cause which you are passionate about.
  • Exude leadership and professionalism at all times and in all situations.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting or finance space. Additional experience in a sales environment is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees of all levels within the organization, as well as with clients and the public.
  • Ability to work with a dynamic team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • A proven track record in leadership, sales, and recruiting in the local marketplace is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA, CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
