Our team is seeking a motivated Investment Data Researcher to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our client’s investment data. As an Investment Data Researcher, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ financial operations by diligently researching and resolving data issues, collaborating with our development team to enhance reporting solutions, and contributing to the continuous improvement of both our product and our data workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients and investment professionals to research and resolve ad hoc data inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Regularly review and address exceptions identified by routine integrity reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established standards. Examples of these reports include Mismatching Identifier Cleanup, Possible Duplicate Instruments, and Missing Key Data Points (Ratings, Industries, Identifiers, Corporate Parents, etc.).
  • Create automated workflows using scripts that you will create, paired with existing Siepe tools, to cut down on errors and reduce the need for manual maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement proactive reporting solutions for early identification of potential data discrepancies.
  • Use analytical skills to identify areas where automated workflows require adjustment to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist developers with new tools to enhance operational efficiency when maintaining and editing data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related analytical or technical field with 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and common scripting languages (PowerShell or Python) or database query languages (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL).
  • Experience with investment management or finance-industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and tools (such as Bloomberg Terminal) is beneficial but not required.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
