Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Senior Instructional Designer.
The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing innovative and engaging face-to-face, online, and blended learning solutions to support the Discovery Family of Companies’ growing organization. They will utilize advanced instructional design processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions to ensure content meets business needs and metrics. The Senior Instructional Designer leads learning projects, managing timelines, and collaborating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify operational processes and best practices to incorporate into the design and development of learning solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Performs training needs analyses and makes recommendations for learning solutions.
- Serves as project manager for learning design and development projects, managing stakeholders and subject matter experts, timelines, and project update meetings.
- Designs and develops instructional curricula and course materials including participant and facilitator training guides, activities, job aids, and all other required materials.
- Develops interactive and engaging online and e-learning solutions utilizing learning authoring tools.
- Partners with subject matter experts, functional leaders, and Learning team peers to understand and translate policies, procedures, and systems into simple, understandable training and communications materials, and to ensure content meets business needs and metrics.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years’ experience in instructional design and delivery.
- 5+ years’ experience with learning authoring tools. Experience with Articulate Storyline required.
- 4+ years’ experience managing learning design and development projects.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certification in instructional design methodology required.
