The IT Trainer & Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for both delivering IT training and providing hands-on technical support. The role will involve IT training to end-users, ensuring they are well-versed in the technology used within the firm, and provide desktop support, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. This hybrid position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver training to both technical and non-technical users. Prior experience in a medium to large law firm environment is required, along with familiarity with industry-specific systems like iManage Work10, 3E Elite, and Intapp.

Primary Responsibilities:
IT Training:
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver effective IT training programs for staff on various software, systems, and security protocols.
- Conduct one-on-one or group training sessions for new hires, focusing on firm-specific tools such as iManage Work10, 3E Elite, Intapp, Microsoft Office Suite, and other applications.
- Create and maintain training documentation, user guides, and self-help resources.
- Assess training needs and update curriculum as needed to keep pace with new technology rollouts and upgrades.
- Organize refresher training sessions to improve staff competency with evolving IT tools and solutions.
- Provide first and second-line technical support to staff on desktop systems, hardware, and software issues both on-site and remotely.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to Windows operating systems, network connectivity, printing, and office applications.
- Support firm-specific systems such as iManage Work10, 3E Elite, Intapp, and others as needed, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Set up, configure, and install new desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and security permissions within the firm's IT systems.
- Escalate complex technical problems to the relevant internal teams or third-party vendors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system (e.g., Halo, ServiceNow).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT training, desktop support, or a similar role.
- Experience working in a medium to large law firm environment is required.
- Proficiency with iManage Work10, 3E Elite, Intapp, Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common desktop applications.
- Experience using IT ticketing systems for support tracking and resolution.
- Ability to create and deliver technical training material tailored to both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Intune Device Management platforms.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
- Technical Aptitude: Deep understanding of desktop support procedures and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, especially with industry-specific software like iManage Work10, 3E Elite, and Intapp.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Organization: Effectively manages time between desktop support and training duties.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to switch between support and training tasks depending on the organization's needs.
- This is an on-site role with occasional remote work flexibility.
- The position may require occasional after-hours work to support maintenance and upgrades.
At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $86,000 (minimum) - $130,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate's actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
