Walmart Creative Studio (WCS) is the in-house creative agency for Walmart. Our team develops breakthrough and distinctive design systems and creative conversations that drive business objectives and keep our Fortune #1 brand in the culture. Manager, Account Management

We are seeking a seasoned, innovative advertising Manager of Account Management to operate as the "front door" of our agency and act as a go-between for our agency creative team and our partners ("clients"). Your responsibilities will include determining the client's needs, explaining the creative process, recommending solutions, and working closely with project management to ensure a timely execution of all campaigns/projects.

To be a successful advertising Manager, you should be self-motivated and solutions oriented. You should have "big picture" thinking and the ability to inspire the creative team to exceed the partner's expectations while expertly managing their campaigns and projects. Ultimately, a top-class advertising Manager is strategic, detail-oriented, organized and driven.

This position should feel confident developing campaigns and strategies, proactively partnering with marketing counterparts for quarterly planning of ongoing and seasonal full-funnel campaigns, and ensuring on-time delivery of assets to aligned objectives and KPIs.

Must be conversant in assessing creative briefs and communicating client strategy to the creative team. The ideal candidate will successfully navigate the demands of business, creative/brand, and technology to help elevate the quality and scale of Walmart creative.

  • Being curious. Demonstrating a passionate and proactive knowledge of our Partner's business, understanding their products, objectives and challenges.
  • Helping to shape Partner briefs, understanding the challenges, objectives and problems to be solved.
  • Translating Partner briefs into a creative brief, helping to find unique ways-in based on business context and consumer insights.
  • Driving accountability of Partner's business and marketing objectives to inform and drive integrated campaign solutions that generate measurable results.
  • Ensuring we are pressure testing our work against strategy and objectives to ensure it delivers to our Partner's business needs but also breaks through with Consumers.
  • Demonstrating great creative judgment and a passion for effective break-through ideas.
  • Having the ability to combine business, communication, and creative strategy to drive the creation of effective creative platforms and tightly integrated campaigns. Need to be both a strategy and idea person!
  • Ensuring the timely execution and delivery of full-funnel creative campaigns and projects.
  • Expert in 360 campaign development, including but not limited to: video, photo, digital, social and owned channel production and execution.
  • Expertly orchestrates multiple teams and workstreams both internally and externally to ensure holistic and consistent outcomes across all campaign outputs.
  • Drives meetings with Partners, grounding the team in the task at hand and ensuring that there are clear outputs before the meeting closes in-line with the meeting agenda/objectives.
  • Is responsible for keeping our Partners on track to ensure all ideas and concepts remain on brief and deliver against agreed KPIs and objectives.
  • Effectively works x-team to ensure consistent efficient ways of working and optimize wherever possible. Outstanding communicator with the ability to uplevel the correct information to the SR Manager/Director level or above.
  • Strong understanding of the creative process and not afraid to follow-up with partners on confidence in their knowledge of the business and the work, strives to be the person in the room with the answer. Owns the room.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, or another relevant field.
  • 8-12 years' experience as an agency Account Supervisor or Account Manager or similar role.
  • Minimum 4-years' experience working in retail environment (or other high-volume industry).
  • Experience in project management tools including Smartsheet & Workfront.
  • Excellent understanding of advertising methods and techniques.
  • Understanding of account management fundamentals, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, and allocate resources.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience working in Product launch or development.
  • Retail experience working on in-store / omni retail channels.
  • Experience in Apparel, Beauty, Home, or CPG.
