The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Consultant, Health Care. This position can be home-based in California.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for the implementation of quality programs aimed at improving care for patients with cardiovascular disease and stroke. Responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging with clients at hospitals, healthcare systems, post-acute facilities, ambulatory/outpatient settings, or EMS organizations to implement and deliver program and product services.
  2. Consulting with appropriate hospital teams to identify and resolve compliance issues and facilitate program participation progress.
  3. Developing relationships with physician champions, key stakeholders, and decision makers/influencers.
  4. Collaborating with state departments of health, regional authorities, and other partners to further cardiovascular systems of care.
  5. Documenting activities in customer relationship management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Two (2) – Five (5) years of proven experience in an acute care hospital working directly on clinical quality or process improvement projects.

Experience in hospital/healthcare systems for cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Excellent in advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Ability to travel up to 20% local and overnight stay.

Preferred Skills:

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Certified Health Education Specialist, or a clinical degree.

Compensation – Salary minimum to the midpoint of the range is $65,000.00 to $95,000.00. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
