Job Summary:


Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst

TorchStone Global is hiring in the Nashville, TN area.

$60,000/year (full-time only), Full Time - On-Site/Part Time positions available as well, pay determined at time of hire.

TorchStone Global is hiring a full-time Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analysts. The GSOC Analyst will focus on delivering exceptional security information management to assist the TorchStone team in providing best in class security support. The incumbent contributes to the process and flow of our GSOC by focusing on incident and intelligence information, identifying potential risks or threats, and will serve as the first point of contact for rapid response to emerging issues that affect the security of our clients’ employees, properties, or network.


The GSOC Analyst will engage effectively with business partners, client organizations security staff and leadership to provide a crucial backstop to their security programs through timely and effective coordination of operations and information that is needed for managers to make informed business decisions in the face of risk or threat.


Commensurate with an impact role on an established team, this is a high visibility position that requires curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a dedication to solving big problems with confidence and independence; imagination and flexibility are key factors for success. The right candidate will bring their proven GSOC expertise in security, intelligence, mass communications, and incident command. They will seamlessly combine hard skills with soft, demonstrating value for TorchStone as well as client security stakeholders.


Duties/Responsibilities :


  • Monitor, collect, and organize a high volume of incoming and outgoing communications, directives, requests, and reports with a clear security imperative.
  • Triage information for dissemination to relevant security stakeholders and TorchStone management.
  • Liaise with internal support teams to coordinate ease of daily operations as well as participate in team procedures to drive successful GSOC operations.
  • Assess information systems, collect information on potentially threatening activity to inform stakeholders of emerging security situations, risks, or threats accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and present security reports based on intelligence data.
  • Serve as the focal point for analysis and distribution of operative information that affects our clients’ employees, properties, or operations.
  • Distribute incident reports, situation briefings and after-action reviews to client organizations and their partners for crisis management purposes, as well as business resiliency or disaster recovery.
  • Maintain records, logs, and case management files related to security operations, intelligence, investigations, and alarm monitoring performance for use by clients in business reviews.


Skills/Abilities:


  • Experience with gathering and transmitting complex data that helps to anticipate or prevent risk to our clients and their operations.
  • Proficiency and a solid understanding of protective operations, intelligence data collection and analysis.
  • Proven experience with geographical information systems and military, law enforcement, or corporate security databases and application platforms.
  • Detail-orientated, inquisitive nature, and devoted to learning and development.
  • Teamwork and willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Strong communication skills focused on preparing reports and briefings, verbally and in writing.
  • Effective problem-solving skills aimed at evaluating options to mitigate risk.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Security Management, International Relations, Journalism, Public Administration, Business Management, or related fields.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience on a security team with progressive roles in a security monitoring, intelligence management, or GSOC environment.
  • Experience with the collection and dissemination of threat intelligence.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Training and Certifications in security operations and emergency management.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with the collection and analysis of intelligence.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems and processes.
  • Experience in workplace incident or crisis management and investigations.
  • Experience with emerging security technologies.
  • Executive level briefing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Suite applications.
