Responsibilities Include:
• Lead and manage team developing mechanical system design documents package for construction throughout the entire design and review cycle.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and other consultant firms to meet the projects needs and address requirements
• Oversee design mechanical systems such as HVAC/Piping/Plumbing/Medical Gas and Fire Suppression within new facility construction and existing facility renovation
• Apply engineering judgement and critical thinking to arrive at the most efficient and economical mechanical system design
• Participate in design charrettes and coordinate with other disciplines and offices, as well as other consultants and required subconsultants
• Employ CAD software and other resources to prepare design plans to include REVIT, Trane Trace and other software modelling
Qualified candidates must possess the following skills, education, and experience:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• Registered Professional Engineer (TN or ability to obtain TN PE in Six Months)
• 10+ years mechanical systems and piping design
• Strong knowledge of state, local and federal building and plumbing codes, standards, various building systems and building MEP System
• Proficient in Revit and knowledgeable in AutoCAD and/or Trane Trace or HAP 700
• Ready and willing to lead and grow
