The Team & The Role
You’ll be responsible for working closely with design and engineering to scale our customer-centric product development process. You’ll spend a significant amount of time in front of our most strategic customers, communicate your learnings to the rest of the team, reinforce product narrative across the company, and use the intuition you’ve developed from customer conversations to develop and prioritize Gem’s product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- You’ll spend a significant amount of time in customer conversations, and are uniquely positioned to distill and synthesize insights for the rest of eng, product and design, Gem’s founders, and the whole company.
- You’re responsible for conducting competitive research and engaging in pre-sales conversations to deeply understand market trends and develop conviction around future opportunities for Gem.
- You’ll guide product development through the complete development lifecycle, from broad-based needs discovery with customers and prospects through MVP launch, including running any beta programs, plus post-launch iteration and future roadmap prioritization.
- You’ll need to bring internal stakeholders along for the journey, ensuring alignment on the product's value to the market.
- You’ll work with marketing to spotlight successful customers, develop case studies, and participate in external marketing engagements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on B2B software for large enterprises.
- Proven track record of shipping significant product areas, or overseeing multiple product areas, with direct impact to the business’ overall vision and strategy.
- Extensive experience interacting with a diverse set of customers, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills, comfortable with various forms of documentation and presentations.
- Collaboration skills to synthesize multiple viewpoints and execute plans with design and engineering teams.
- Eagerness to up-level yourself, the company, and our customers.
