MAXISIQ is seeking an RF / HPM Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) and Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Power Microwave (FPC-HPM) efforts. Provide expertise to analysis of technical data provided by vendors, effects of HPM on other equipment, and offer recommendations to Government. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL and becomes available upon award around mid-December 2024.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Performing critical analysis of technical data packages including but not limited to: SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.

  • Providing recommendation on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.

  • Interfacing with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SME’s to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range efforts being conducted.

  • Working with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM system both CONUS and OCONUS.

  • Performing all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.

  • Providing Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment.

  • Formulating / estimating technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.

  • Supporting preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field

Clearance: Active Secret clearance

Experience:

  • Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM / RF systems

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Must be able to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel.

  • Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.

  • Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).

  • Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).

  • Day-to-Day work requires the development of detailed schedules and processes.

  • Understand system engineering processes.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor in working with senior Army leadership.
