SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Human Resource Manager plans, directs and coordinates related to the organization’s employees and contractors. She will develop, implement and maintain human resource policies, procedures, and forms; assist and support department managers and employees regarding personnel issues; and maintain personnel records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Human Resource Manager also oversees recruitment and hiring process of employees and contractors. She needs to consult the top management (President and Principal) on strategic workforce planning and serve as the organizational link between the top management and employees/contractors.
SCOPE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Under the direction of the officers and management of the company; develops, implements and updates personnel policies, procedures and forms. Be updated with current laws and regulations affecting personnel (Equal employment, employee safety and etc.), employment practices or trends and recommends new or revised policies and procedures as appropriate.
· Assist and supports department managers and all employees regarding personnel issues. Answer employees and contractors queries personnel policies, procedures, and benefits; researches and disseminates topical or timely information to managers / and or employees to personnel issues.
· Coordinate and assist with employees and contractors hiring, orientation, on boarding, and training on how to register in the paychex and verus system; determines employee classifications and ensures completion of all appropriate paperwork for new employees and contractors.
· Coordinates and assist manager with employee reviews and performance appraisals. Coordinates and participates in completion of termination and exit interviews.
· Establishes and maintains personnel records and reports; maintains company organizational charts and employee directory.
· Prepares and coordinates all accident reports and workers compensation reports. Handles follow-up insurance and workers compensation claims. Handles return-to-work and disability slips
· Prepares and coordinates with the auditors for 401k and EDD reports and queries.
· Performs other related duties as required or as assigned.
· Responsible for ensuring that appropriate training opportunities are available to relevant employee, maintaining a training/competence record for employees and working with
Department Managers to develop the employees training plans and competency requirements to be approved by the top management (Principal and President).
