Job Responsibilities

  • Perform technical review of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S and C-corporations
  • Familiarity with Subchapter K rules
  • Ability to identify and research common tax issues that arise in client engagements
  • Identify key planning opportunities throughout the year and develop a framework for tax strategies that best align with client needs and goals
  • Assist in identifying and promoting the development of new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market requirements
  • Support the partner team in the development and planning of practice strategy, objectives, and budgets
  • Provide consultation on business and/or individual tax transactions (if applicable), the related tax implications, consequences, and treatment
  • Develop responses to IRS and other regulatory and tax authorities' audits, notices and inquiries
  • Manage teams effectively to ensure engagement profitability in the short and long term sustainability of practice
  • Coach and mentor staff and seniors on client engagements and career path

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of US tax consulting/compliance experience within public accounting
  • Experience with a wide variety of entity types, partnerships most preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in a managerial role involving clients and team members
  • CPA or equivalent credential

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Taxation
  • Experience with the Financial Services industry supporting Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate
