The Role
As a Manager of Material Purchasing team within our Supply Chain organization, you will play a key role in streamlining the material planning and purchasing processes & systems, right sizing inventory, and assuring that we have the right quantity of parts in the factory at the right time.
What you'll do:
- Ensure timely execution of purchasing and supplier scheduling
- Manage supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimizing costs
- Lead, manage, coach and develop a high performing team of Material Planners
- Own and present clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports and other analyses as needed to the senior management team
- Implement and ensure effectiveness and accuracy of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
- Manage material planning system configuration, parameters and master data to optimally reflect supply chain capabilities and plan supply to right size inventory and exceed service level goals while minimizing costs and obsolescence
Skills to be successful:
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, or supply chain management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably working with medium-to-high volume products) with knowledge & experience in converting and communicating demand requirements for products into detailed plans and schedules for inventory acquisition.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in developing, implementing, and assessing key operational and financial metrics
- Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelors or Masters in Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability

- Compensation Range: $120k - $150k
