Marcum Search is assisting our client in identifying a Accounting Manager for their corporate office in Nassau County, Long Island, NY . Qualified candidates MUST have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field and 7+ years of experience. This role is onsite in their office, Monday-Friday.

The purpose of this role is to support the accounting team by performing various duties. The staff accountant will utilize their knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures to record, analyze and monitor financial information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Experience in GAAP.
  2. Prepare individual, corporate, partnership and trust and estate tax returns.
  3. Assist with audits of financial statements.
  4. Assist with payroll tax returns.
  5. Assist with 1099 preparation.
  6. Assist with audit requests.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
  2. Seven + years of accounting experience preferred.
  3. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  4. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) - a must.
  6. Experience with QuickBooks, Ultra Tax.

Salary: up to $150K - $200K based upon experience + excellent benefits.
