Purpose of Role

Under Armour is seeking a Lead, SFMC Software Engineer to lead, design, build, and deliver high quality technical solutions enabling email, mobile, SMS and personalized experiences through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform on our growing Commerce and Marketing Technology team. The Lead SFMC Software Engineer will lead, manage and oversee a team of internal and external developers building on the Marketing Cloud platform using Journey Builder, Ad Studio, Personalization, Content Builder, Automation Studio and has a high level of expertise with SF MCE APIs. A successful candidate will have deep expertise in MCE, familiarity with the larger SF ecosystem, and general engineering skills in data structures, SQL and Ampscript. An ideal candidate will have a passion for collaboration with cross functional partners, can adapt to technology change and evolution, and is eager to find creative solutions to technical issues.

Your Impact

  1. Leads technical architecture and design for features, provides technical guidance, performs code reviews and manages and distributes tasks to senior engineers and engineers contributing to Under Armour’s Digital Marketing platform.
  2. Support active projects and agile squads throughout the lifecycle, providing oversight and guidance on development objects to ensure consistency with original design as well as overall quality of deliverables.
  3. Investigates operational requirements and seeks effective business solutions through the design and implementation of technology solutions and/or business process improvements.
  4. Proactively identify gaps and opportunities to improve existing functionality. Lead design process, and then either drive delivery process directly, or transition to support analyst teams to drive completion of deliverables.
  5. Assists in troubleshooting and discovery and provides advanced production support in situations requiring escalation over L1/L2 and UA solutions analyst teams.
  6. Collaborate with cross functional partners and squads including Product Managers, UX Designers, and QA Engineers to deliver rich and sustainable marketing content and experiences for Under Armour’s consumers.
  7. Collaborates in brainstorming, designing, architecting, and implementing new solutions and code development, as well as suggesting tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance, capabilities, and reliability.
  8. Establishes and enforces code standards and architecture and maintains up to date best practices.
  9. Builds prototypes for new initiatives and evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  2. Proven experience in working and integrating with APIs and 3rd Party systems integrations (SOAP/REST).
  3. Proven experience with the analysis of complex business and/or systems/technical requirements or issues and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various consumer, technical and business issues.

Base Compensation

$150,848.00 - $207,414.90 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
