Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Analytics to join our team and lead the way in optimizing processes, systems, and long-term strategic initiatives. As the Manager, Analytics, you will play a crucial role in supporting onsemi's next-generation projects, providing stakeholders with reliable information for confident decision-making. Additionally, you will offer insights and mechanisms for internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Business Unit leadership. This role involves training, managing and developing an incredible team of Analysts creating algorithms and statistical models to power next generation projects, and collaborating closely with internal and external partners to address critical business requirements. Reporting directly to the Director, Distribution Operations, this position is pivotal in driving excellence within our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Translation between Business & Data Science: The ability to effectively translate between business requirements and data science solutions. This requires a strong understanding of both business processes and statistical methodologies. Work to understand external and internal business requirements and create actionable reports capturing key performance indicators. Build, develop, and enhance statistical forecasting algorithms for long-term ‘digital-first’ projects. Automate, and maintain reports integrated into recurring mechanisms for the prevention or rapid detection of issues. Develop self-serve monitoring tools for business and sales leadership to identify improvement opportunities, such as sell-through for distributors.
- Data exploration & Analysis: Proficiency in exploring new data points, analyzing them, and understanding how they can be integrated into existing algorithms and models to improve distributor demand management. Autonomously define and conduct deep dives working backwards from the customer problem refining the problem or opportunity size. Perform complex data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and provide strategic insight and direction. Bring a solid understanding of the technical tools and platforms used (e.g., Python, R, SQL, machine learning frameworks).
- Impact Strategic Direction: Everything with onsemi’s digital first strategy aims at being driven by data. Work with distributors, Sales, Supply Chain, and Business Unit leadership, as well as Analysts and Data Scientists, to shape the vision of the company’s next gen projects. Align with onsemi’s digital-first strategy, ensuring and allowing data-driven decision-making, reporting, and ad-hoc deep dives.
- Interpersonal & Social skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills given the need to work closely with distributors and various stakeholders across the organization. Ability to train and coach team members on business best practices, statistical models, deep dives, and leveraging tools such as SQL/Python.
- Project & Change Management: The ability and experience to work within project environment and support in timeline management. Experience in managing transitions and change, particularly in a technical or cross-functional environment.
