The ideal candidate will have full service hotel experience managing Front Office Operations.
The Front Office Manager will be responsible for directing and administering Front Office operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage all Front Office operations: guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, and policy and procedure implementation and enforcement.
- Monitor and develop staff, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewards.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
- Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns.
- Initiate and implement up-selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue.
- Ensure current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events.
- Complete audit procedures, as needed.
- Recruit, interview and train team members.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three years or more related hotel experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals, handbooks, etc.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Opera and have basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
