Streaming Media/Interactive TV/TVOD Mix-Methods Researcher

Location: San Bruno, CA -Hybrid onsite (3 days onsite every week)

Pay Rate/Range : $90-100/hr

Job Description:

• We are seeking a proactive and passionate mixed methods researcher to contribute to the development of innovative, best-of-breed products.
• As part of the larger TV research team, we believe in continually improving our craft and making meaningful impact for our users.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute foundational and tactical research to uncover unmet user needs and refine product directions through usability studies, surveys, benchmark studies, and other research methods as required.
• Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Analyze data and effectively communicate recommendations to diverse audiences through written reports and presentations.
• Advocate for user needs and leverage storytelling to communicate research findings with strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills to the product team and leadership-level stakeholders.

Experience:

• 4 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
• Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
• Experience working directly with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
• Working with recruiting teams to source participants who are the right fit for research projects a plus.
• 2 years of experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization a plus.
• Experience with interactive TV or streaming product subscriptions a plus.
• Familiarity with US professional sports (NFL, NBA, WNBA etc.) also a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
