Investment Analyst

A multi-billion-dollar private investment firm in Fort Worth, Texas is interested in immediately hiring a top analyst to join our investment team. This individual will work with a team of other investment professionals which handle all our private equity, distressed debt, and general credit-related investments.
Position Description:

• Generate and screen new investment ideas independently and along with Senior Portfolio Managers for potential investment
• Research and analyze macro trends in the high-yield and leveraged loan asset classes
• Manage various processes that help us identify which securities to buy or sell
• Develop and maintain various methods in understanding relative value across the high-yield and leveraged loan universe
• Calculate and monitor portfolio analyses to understand overall fund beta
• Monitor major periodicals daily for news and other information that may impact our investments
• Assist Senior Partners on existing PE investments
• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to private equity owners and senior management
• Produce reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis
• Assist in identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
• Assist in analyzing M&A opportunities and evaluate new lines of business
• Manage and coordinate various routine tasks with interns and participate in mentoring program

• 2-5+ years' experience with a top I-banking, Private Equity, Hedge Fund, or Consulting Firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG)
• Excellent academic credentials
• Highly proficient Excel modeling capabilities
