City of South Lebanon seeking Public Works Director

The City of South Lebanon is looking for a results-oriented leader to serve in the newly created position of Public Works Director. This person will direct the staff and activities of the Public Works Department and provide valuable insights and expertise to the City Administrator and Department Heads regarding how to address complex community and infrastructure issues and how to advance opportunities. The Public Works Director will be a strategic visionary who brings new ideas and a forward-thinking approach to the department and the City. The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience and skills including an in-depth knowledge of the maintenance of streets, parks and municipal facilities, water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, operation of sewage lift stations, the maintenance and procurement of equipment, and project management.

This is a full-time, exempt position, and the salary will be commensurate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the selected candidate. The salary range for this position is $70,657 to $98,925. The City of South Lebanon offers an excellent benefits program, including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, medical and dental insurance, participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

There is no residency requirement for the Public Works Director. However, the new Director will be expected to be an active and visible participant in community organizations and events.
