Job Summary

What is the opportunity? You will provide leadership, coaching, and process improvement initiatives that are necessary to improve the operational efficiency of all retail businesses. You will implement structure to ensure a high delivery of service standards by automating, centralizing, eliminating, and streamlining processes and procedures.

You will ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory procedures (e.g., Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention, Internal Revenue Regulations, etc.) by implementing and monitoring operational processes. You will work closely with operations managers, branch managers, and internal auditors to develop a control strategy for all retail businesses.

  1. Lead and manage the department to ensure overall performance meets or exceeds the established industry and company standards for service, innovation, and professionalism.
  2. Align oneself with the organization’s values, communicate a clear vision of the future, empower team members to do their job, and act as a positive role model for others.
  3. Keep abreast of industry regulations, trends, and technologies.
  4. Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines, and external vendors.
  5. Execute oversight activities for complex exception-based and/or highly specialized department deliverables and processes.
  6. Review, design, and implement new processes and procedures to increase department efficiency, reduce expense and risk, or enrich service.
  7. Manage department budget, financial forecasts, staffing models, and department metric tracking.
  8. Provide training, coaching, recognition, and development for department members, fostering teamwork and planning for succession.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • Ability to work with outside vendors to achieve efficiency and accountability with reporting requirements.
  • Experience with reporting to regulatory bodies, specifically state and federal taxation authorities.
  • Familiarity with interconnected systems and the ability to understand and think logically through process flows and processes.
  • Ability to handle and resolve escalated issues in a timely manner.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with tax reporting capabilities and client delivery of regulatory documents.
  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with print and digital output.
  • Experience with the testing of systems and document output.
