This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the role of Associate Test Automation Engineer. Reporting into Clinical Effectiveness’ Director of Software Engineering, you will begin your career in a diverse Engineering team that will give you a varied opportunity to contribute and appreciate the many opportunities and directions for software engineering.

You will immediately get exposure to a variety of our products, development teams and tools. The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer will gain an understanding of our products by supporting and troubleshooting the applications and participating in the creation of new functionality.

The role will be hybrid out of our Chicago Office.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  2. Build test suites using test management tools.
  3. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance tests of software applications.
  4. Document software defects in a defect tracking system and communicate issues with developers and product managers.
  5. Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  6. Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies in software quality assurance.

Experience

  1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  2. Technical creativity.
  3. Committed, detail oriented, organized, and adaptable.
  4. Collaboration skills and desire to work in a collaborative environment.
  5. Exposure to quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  6. Knowledge of test automation process and test automation frameworks.
  7. Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening), with an ability to build positive working relationships.
  8. Problem-solving and a finely tuned balance of technical purity and pragmatism.
  9. Exposure to technologies such as: HTML, CSS, Docker, Web Services.
  10. Experience with Object Oriented Programming.
  11. Experience with Relational Databases and SQL.
  12. Experience with SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, is a plus.
