Responsibilities BT Prep is Baker Tilly's nationally centralized "processing center" established to gain efficiency, standardize processes, reduce costs but most importantly to more effectively utilize the time of our accounting professionals. While prior tax preparation experience is ideal, experience is not necessary. We will teach you what you need to know to successfully prepare client tax returns and the most exciting part of it all, your training will be 100% paid for! Responsibilities include:Enter personal client data and financial information into tax preparation softwarePrepare tax returns in accordance with firm policies, ensure information is accurately representedAdhere to the firm's written tax practice standards and the firm's 1040 procedure manualEnsure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handlingQualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferredIndividual tax return preparation ex erience ideal, but not requiredKnowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation preferredAdaptable to new technology, ability to work in a paperless environment, and ability to learn using instructional guides and videosKeen sense of accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated critical thinking, well-developed problem-solving skills, and ability to work independentlyA professional demeanor and the ability to handle matters confidentiallySolid written and verbal communication skillsBasic Excel skills, requiredExperience with Adobe Acrobat, preferredAbility to obtain PTIN during initial onborading and training weeksAvailability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week Monday-Friday between the hours 8am-8pm your local timeAvailability to work mid-January 2025 through early-April 2025Additional Information For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $20.00 to $35.00.
