Located in Hillsboro Oregon, you will join the Service Logistics team for Materials & Structural Analysis division and contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.This role does have the option to be remote, however, the candidate will need to have the flexibility to work during PST hours.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaborationEvaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other relevant factorsNegotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms and conditionsMonitor supplier performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement corrective actions when necessaryCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth operations and optimize the supply chainIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance supplier performance and overall supply chain efficiencyRequirements:Education, ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)5+ years proven experience as a Supplier Manager or in a similar roleKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in using supply chain management software and toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentEquivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be consideredAs one team of 100,000+ colleagues, we share a common set of values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement - working together to accelerate research, solve complex scientific challenges, drive technological innovation and support patients in need. #StartYourStory at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where diverse experiences, backgrounds and perspectives are valued.Apply today!
