Salary Information: The salary for this position is $79,189 (minimum) up to $100,000. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.

Job Summary: The Clinical Director for Counseling Services is a 70% administrative appointment in Counseling & Wellness Services (CWS) that is responsible for providing clinical supervision of counselors in CWS. This position is paired with a 30% position responsible for providing mental health counseling as a counselor in CWS. Reporting directly to the Senior Director for Counseling & Wellness Services, the Clinical Director coordinates and provides professional oversight for the clinical functions and counseling staff. Specifically, the Clinical Director is responsible for the training, development and evaluation of CWS counselors and manages counselor scheduling. The Clinical Director, in coordination and consultation with the Senior Director for Counseling & Wellbeing Services, is responsible for the assessment of counseling services. As a leader in the Student Affairs Division, the Clinical Director is expected to maintain and encourage a professional, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to student support and development.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, counselor education, social work or a relevant mental health discipline from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education.
- Minimum of five years experience as a counselor.
- At least one year of experience supervising staff.
- Meets requirements and is designated as a Washington State Approved Supervisor.
- Licensed in the State of Washington.
- Evidence of a supervised internship, supervised field placement, or equivalent, as part of the requirement for the degree, which included clinical assessment, counseling and crisis intervention, preferably with a diverse college-age population.
- Knowledgeable in various counseling disciplines and licensures, including LMHC, LP, MSW, and LMFT, as well as the specific requirements and practices of our center.
- Demonstrated maturity in leadership and decision-making.
- Demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference is given to a candidate with a doctoral degree.
