Lathe Machinist Level II
Responsibilities:

• Ability to set up and operate one or more of the following lathe types lathes. Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Mori. Mazatrol programming experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand dimensional drawings and tolerances of parts.
• Perform all machine setups, produce first articles parts for approval and run production jobs based on work order and prints specifications with minimal supervision.
• Monitor machine during production to ensure proper machine operation and that parts are produced to print specifications.
• Perform dimensions checks on parts and adjust machine as needed.
• Communicate regularly with Production Supervisor, quality department, and other shop employees on work schedule, priorities, and give job updates.
• Keep Work area clean and organized. Advise Production Supervisor of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved.
• Follow all Safety and Environmental protocols including proper usage of PPE.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime through the week and as needed on weekends.
• Monitor tooling and consumables. Requisition as needed with Production Supervisor.
• Ability to understand and edit G-Code
• Strong knowledge of machining principles
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines, required.
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints/Technical Drawings.
