Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled .NET engineer to join our team. As a .NET engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using the .NET core technology stack. You will work collaboratively with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet business needs.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies such as C#, .NET core.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions align with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in .NET development.
Required Skills:
- At least 5+ years of experience in .NET development
- Proficient in C# and .NET core fundamentals
- Proficiency in Oracle/MSSQL/PostgreSQL or another relational database platform
- Experience with development tools like Visual Studio, Git, etc.
- Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC & Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core
- Experience with ReactJS, VueJS
- Experience with testing frameworks like NUnit and xUnit
- Familiarity with distributed databases such as CockroachDB
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
