Job Summary:
The coordinator oversees the daily activities and duties of the center; assists in managing the staff; effectively communicates with staff, clients, families, and other service providers. They collaborate with case managers and staff to ensure the clients are receiving the best possible services in meeting their needs and goals in a positive and nurturing environment.

- Assist the Program Director in the recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance management of staff.
- Assist the Program Director in formulating a weekly curriculum.
- Ensure staff-to-client ratio is compliant with State regulations.
- Responsible for checking phone messages and checking the computer for T-logs.
- Responsible for entering daily attendance into DeTASO morning and afternoon.
- Responsible for monitoring staff and ensuring that curriculum is taught.
- Responsible for ensuring that staff are appropriately engaging with clients.
- Create monthly charts of client goal progress and distribute to the care coordination team.
- Responsible for monthly supplies inventory and ordering.
- Responsible for conducting and documentation of building safety drills.
- Communicate with families, caregivers, co-workers, supervisors, and clients.
- Document any necessary information about individual clients in Therap.
- Communicate with care coordination team about any issues that need addressing.
- Ensure Aspire staff are conducting daily duties while providing active treatment for all clients.
- Assist Aspire clients with medications.
- Provide direct personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with personal hygiene, ambulation and transfers.
- Train and/or, assist clients in activities of daily living to include: feeding, toileting, cleaning self, cleaning environment, etc.
- Ensure clients' rights and safety as required, including those of the Elizabeth Richardson Center, Inc., policies & procedures, and State & Federal guidelines.
- Knowledgeable of HIPPA regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with consumers, clients and staff.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and, procedure manuals.
- Ability to write detailed reports and correspondences.
- Ability to understand and operate computer systems.
- The work environment is consistent with a typical classroom/ learning setting
- May occasionally experience moderate noise levels.
- This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, talking to people, planning work activities for clients, and working on a team.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum level of education required - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum years of experience required - Two (2) years related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Preferred level of education required - Bachelor's degree in a related field. OR an LPN or RN license.
- Preferred years of experience required - Three or more years of related experience.
- Preferred knowledge of programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
- Preferred experience working with nonprofit organizations.
- Previous work with state licensures and related annual audits a plus.
- Must pass an extensive background check.
- Must comply with drug testing requirements.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- If you are a van driver for ERC, you must have a valid Arkansas driver's license, meet safe driver's requirements and be 25 years of age.
- Required and or Preferred Certificates for this job - Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
- Licensure requirements- Must meet minimum licensure annual training requirements.
- This role includes Developmental Disability Services (DDS), Behavior Management Training, CPR, First Aide, Health & Safety, and HIPPA training.
- Must maintain Arkansas C.N.A. License if applicable
