You will be part of the Cloud Mobility Manager (CMM) within the CNS Division of Nokia. The CMM delivers a converged packet core solution that addresses 5G (AMF), 4G LTE (MME), and even 2G/3G in a fully cloud-native architecture. What you will learn and contribute to
Are you passionate about solving problems?
We are looking for a recent/upcoming college graduate with a Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science, with an emphasis on a Data Science related degree.
As part of our team, you will:
- Work on technologies related to:
- Container Technologies (Kubernetes) platforms
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning pipelines
- Code and work on projects related to the following areas:
- Data analytics/Machine Learning, including Exploratory Data Analysis
- Coding in C++/C and Python which will be used in the implementation of models for data pipeline (training, serving, testing)
- Work with technologies such as:
- MLflow, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, and other related technologies to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), and implement machine learning models.
- 3GPP, which includes implementing use cases in AI/Machine Learning for the Cloud Mobility Manager for 4G MME (Mobility Management Entity) and 5G AMF (Access Mobility Function).
Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)
Your skills and experience
You have:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science, with an emphasis on Data Science.
- Python proficiency, C++/C language knowledge.
- Some experience in data classification models, time series, and large language models including some familiarity with 3GPP and 4G/5G specifications.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Previous Nokia intern or co-op experience.
- Networking IP Knowledge (IPv6/IPv4), familiarity with Linux, Git, MLFlow, AirFlow, and Scikit Learn.
- Characteristics of a self-starter, by being self-motivated and showing the ability to work independently on complex problems.
- Aptitude towards learning state-of-the-art technologies including the ability to keep abreast of evolution in the industry and cloud infrastructures, and gain complex knowledge in a short time frame.
- Excellent technical skills, demonstrated by working efficiently and being responsible for completing own code quality and/or testing activities given the provided requirements.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical information/risks and provide status updates on assigned tasks.
- Desire to work across organizational boundaries, multi-site, and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to understand the customer's use case, and create data-driven models which help the customer manage
