About the Role:
This is a full-time, on-site position located at our distribution center in Linden, New Jersey. The logistics coordinator will be responsible for primary traffic coordination of inbound receivings from our international contract manufacturers, warehouse transfers, and hands-on troubleshooting of shipment exceptions. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare documentation, coordinate with vendors, plan shipment schedules, and handle shipment exceptions for inbound ocean freight, air freight, and parcel shipments
- Quote, generate documentation (including bills of ladings and packing slips), dispatch, and coordinate with common carriers for outbound parcel & freight shipments
- Quote and manage trade show/event logistics
- Oversee receiving accuracy of inbound freight and data entry of relevant logistics information into ERP
- Review and resolve over/short/damage (OS&D) claims
- Review quote and billing accuracy for traffic vendors
- Hands-on oversight to ensure delivery schedules for high-value shipments are met
- Review & assess new transportation vendors
- Assist in coordinating sampling programs for marketing initiatives
- Assist in reviewing and coordinating inter-department product development shipments
- Cross-train to provide coverage for Operations Assistant, including inventory management and generation of carton labels and other documentation
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of relevant supply chain experience, including logistics & freight management, customs brokerage, freight forwarding
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar quantitative field required, or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems preferred. Knowledge of EDI and Cin7 Core a significant plus
- Previous knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with an ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal team, and clients.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift, push, and slide packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Full Time (40 hours/wk), non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
- Compensation: $50,000/yr - $56,000/yr
