TRC Talent Solutions is looking to hire a Materials Manager. This is a full-time permanent position located near Dallas, GA.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all purchasing, inventory control, and MRP functions. Oversee all activities related to the procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase; through the delivery of the commodity. Prepare work instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
• Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date the commodity is needed.
• Assure that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships that provide high-quality products and services at a competitive price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
• Negotiate with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.
• Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
• Compliance with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
• Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices. Review purchase orders claims and contracts for conformance to company standards.
• Assign procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Control inventory levels and ensure the availability of material during emergencies.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Must have Materials Management experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Materials Manager
• Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information such as financial reports and legal documents.
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
• Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Working knowledge of SAP MM
