Human Resources Director

A privately held company with strong community ties, long-term staff, and tremendous integrity is hiring for a key Human Resources Director role.

Offering either professional services or construction experience, you will lead a team of one, overseeing all HR functions for the company including employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits, and administrative policies.

This is a 100% onsite position.

You will:

  1. Identify, investigate and resolve employee relations issues in the best interest of both the employee and the company.
  2. Manage the recruitment process for all non-union positions.
  3. Identify organizational requirements, create position specifications.
  4. Source, interview and evaluate applicants, recommending to management.
  5. Administer and communicate compensation plans and policies.
  6. Prepare and maintain salary data, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
  7. Complete salary survey questionnaires.
  8. Arrange non-union training and learning opportunities.
  9. Develop HR policy. Enhance and ensure documentation, union and non-union employee handbooks.
  10. Participate in establishing budgets, schedules, performance standards, and resource requirements.

You have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
  2. At least eight years of human resources or related experience.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Professional services or construction industry experience is a must.
  5. Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  6. Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Salary: $160,000 - $220,000
