Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionAt Gilead, Media Strategy and Operations plays a critical role for digital transformation, a strategic partner to our brands, and focuses on delivering a superior digital experience to our customers in the US.Within the Customer Experience, Digital and Media Strategy team, the Digital Media and Strategy team is the main group for developing the Gilead US's digital media strategy; executing, measuring, and optimizing it with improved paid media quality and performance, in alignment with the brand teams.The Associate Director, Media Measurement at Gilead US is responsible for implementing a comprehensive media measurement framework, focusing on KPIs across audience, channel, site, and creative. In this newly created role, they will develop data-driven strategies for optimizing media programs for the HIV business unit, partnering with media agencies and internal teams to enhance business impact. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to define campaign objectives, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks while managing relationships with 3rd party measurement partners. This leader will drive integrated cross-channel measurement programs, using audience and content analytics to provide actionable insights and process improvements. This role will sit in Foster City, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesBe a strategic partner to internal stakeholders in defining key business questions that align to brand objectivesBased on brand objectives and goals, develop measurement approach to analyze and optimize media performanceDevelop test and learn strategies across channels and socialize results within the organization.Manage / own 3rd party measurement partners and agency relationships to develop combined measurement roadmaps to ensure timely deliverySupport brand marketers to uncover deeper and more actionable media performance insights to support key launch and ongoing optimizationCreate a measurement framework for key launches, focusing on unique media performance metrics (NBRx, RRx, persistence, adherence) while establishing an ongoing framework for the PreP portfolio to optimize media tactics, prioritization, budget allocation, and cross-brand performance.Be a key partner in report creation and presentations to key stakeholders, providing insights into campaign performance and opportunities for optimization.Collaborate with other members of the Digital Media Strategy and Operations team to ensure that campaigns are optimized across all channels, and consistent with organization objectives.Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and scalability of the digital media data and analytics function.Leverage audience segmentation, data analysis, and secondary data sources (TRx, NBRx, copay, media data) to target and refine relevant pharmaceutical product audiences, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and messaging.Develop comprehensive audience personas using demographic, psychographic, and behavioral insights to guide brand strategy and enhance the effectiveness of creatives.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital media and analytics.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ ExperienceORMasters' Degree and Eight Years’ ExperienceORPhD and Two Years’ ExperiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working with digital media channels such as display, social, search, programmatic, and video.Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and Google Analytics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and make strategic recommendations.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data and insights to a variety of stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and synthesize large data sets.Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.Experience working with pharmaceutical, or biotech industries is a plus.Operational KPIsCampaign performance metrics (KPIs to track could include click-through rate, conversion rate, engagement rate, and overall return on investment (ROI)).Data collection and reporting metrics (KPIs related to data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness).Audience metrics (such as audience size, growth, and engagement).Technology adoption metrics (KPIs related to technology adoption and proficiency).Cross-functional collaboration metrics (metrics related to teamwork, communication, and stakeholder satisfaction).Industry benchmarking metrics (KPIs related to industry standards and best practices).Project delivery timeline.Customer satisfaction.People Leader Accountabilities:Create inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.Develop talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
