We are hiring a Senior Go-to-Market (GtM) Specialist to support the growth of Storage services in North America and enable new capabilities for our customers such as deploying Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Within WWSO, this position is a part of the Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist team, where you will lead GTM strategy for AWS’ Storage. We create sales plays, leverage partners, and build new initiatives that drive results for our customers. We provide critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap, and work closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem supporting our customers’ goals. In emerging areas, we play a critical role as the “first in” teams to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions. When a customer needs to innovate and requires a new way to leverage AWS, they count on us to innovate with them to build and deliver what they need.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you:

  1. Set strategic GTM direction as well as oversee execution of insights-based GTM programs and activities to grow adoption of AWS storage services.
  2. Work directly with customers to map storage, data, and AI services to deliver on their business objectives and outcomes.
  3. Develop targeted sales plays and enablement programs to help field teams capture and progress opportunities.
  4. Partner with industry teams to identify workloads, such as Generative AI, that impact our storage services.
  5. Act as a trusted business advisor to guide cross functional teams of SAs, Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment.
  6. Represent the voice of the customer; collaborate with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams. Lead curation of custom feature and availability requests for unique customer use cases.
  7. Provide advanced technical knowledge to your aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
  8. Along with your extended team, own the technical bar for specialist technical artifacts and standards.
  9. Collaborate with your GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
  10. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
  11. Guide and Support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your customers. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years design, implementation, consulting experience of distributed applications
  • 7+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
  • 7+ years of Storage experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
  • Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.
