Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees all community-based programming across Cook and Lake counties, including all food access programs and services. Operating oversight includes:
    - Community centers
    - Parish-based ministries
    - Mobile response units
    - Community meals
    - Senior meal delivery
  • Partnership cultivation and cross-functional collaboration:
    - Cross-functional leader and partner, internally and externally, in bringing together immediate client needs, community partnerships, programs with high levels of volunteer staffing.
    - Partnering closely with Mission Engagement on volunteer service and staffing.
    - Partnering closely with Rapid Response team.
    - Partnering closely with Charities Hub and across all Charities client-facing programs.
  • Team Building:
    - Lead multiple teams towards shared goals; coach and develop team members, cultivate a sense of shared purpose.

Physical Requirements:

  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day.
  • Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Climb up and down 3 or more flights of stairs at a time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.

Supervision:

Immediate Supervisor: Chief Program Officer

Directly Supervises: Team of (5-7) staff members, including: (2) Directors of Parish-based Ministries in Chicago, (2) Directors of Community Centers in Cook, Senior Director of Lake County, Mobile Response Team, and Future parish-based and community center.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree

Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 5 years leadership, in human services or related field
Minimum: 5 years leadership, in human services or related field
