Regional Bay Area CPA firm is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to their staff.
Tax Senior Associates work closely with managers and partners to provide innovative tax solutions for our sophisticated client base. Primary responsibilities include preparing complex returns, performing planning, projection and compliance projects, and reviewing work from the associate level. Mentoring team members, providing thoughtful feedback, and transferring knowledge particularly to those learning under you are highly valued by the Firm.

Responsibilities
Tax Senior Associates have the following key responsibilities on an ongoing basis:
- Review tax projects related to tax advisory, planning, research and consulting
- Anticipate and identify client tax issues and concerns, provide consultative and strategic solutions to resolve identified issues
- Mentor, train and supervise Tax Associates
- Work with the Partners and Managers of the Firm and make recommendations concerning business and tax planning strategies for external clients
- Participate in the recruitment of new staff
- Determine optimal approaches for delivering high-quality client services
Candidates must possess a broad spectrum of skills and breadth of tax experience that will immediately inspire confidence.
- Minimum of two years of public accounting experience in taxation
- CPA licensed, license pending or exams in progress; all educational requirements for California CPA licensure completed
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or with an emphasis in accounting; Master's degree in taxation a plus
- Well versed in business entities (i.e., Corporations, S-Corps, Partnerships and LLCs)
- Possess a proven track record in analyzing financial and tax data and attributes
- Passionate professional who understands the value of counseling and mentoring others
