Responsibilities

You will execute Government and Industry engagements with the intent of building SPA strategic partnerships. You will build, inform and execute SPA’s strategy to expand our Navy business, with a focus on NAVSEA HQ and Warfare Centers.

You will be expected to build strong working relationships with industry Primes and establish a reputation as their go-to subcontractor. You will improve understanding of ongoing contract requirements, recruit and build a pipeline of relevant staff to improve responsiveness and position SPA to grow on existing efforts. You will be expected to leverage relationships and proven performance to create opportunities for expanded teaming opportunities.

As opportunities are identified, you will assess to determine where SPA can potentially Prime or secure a position as a significant sub with companies that are well positioned. Negotiate teaming agreements that are favorable to SPA as either a Prime or a Significant Subcontractor. As a Subcontractor, secure minimum workshare and/or guaranteed swim lanes to ensure upside for SPA.

You will work with designated business development and proposal management personnel to develop capture plans, win themes, technical solutions and value propositions. As a senior leader, you will be involved in SPA's highest priority strategy sessions and proposal color team reviews.

You will work with SPA Communications and Business Development to identify opportunities to promote the company brand across the local community and help establish SPA as a key player in relevant technical domains.

You should expect to provide part-time support to SPA's highest priority clients, such as directly supporting ACAT-I IWS program with their emerging Foreign Military Sales efforts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. 20 years or more in a technical field supporting DoD mission space
  2. Knowledgeable in the DoD business development solicitation and capture process
  3. Extensive managerial experience with proven ability to interface with senior Government and industry leaders
  4. Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field
  5. Must hold and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance
