We are actively looking for a Total Rewards Director to join our Human Resources team. As part of the Human Resources Group, the Total Rewards Director leads development and management of employee benefits, compensation structures, and HR Systems. Serves as a consultant to CHRO, Executive Team, Operations, Practice, and Business Unit management and employees and nurtures partnerships with our broker, insurance carriers and vendors. This role will be directly responsible for continuing to design, implement, and manage salary classification and compensation programs; provides counsel to hiring managers on internal pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluations.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Maintain knowledge of US and International economic conditions, labor markets, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides
competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures

* Oversee employee benefits contracts and programs including plan design, administration, enrollment, education, compliance, reporting, and filings

* Ensure plans accommodate cultural, geographical and cost objectives

* Design, develop and implement compensation programs, policies, and procedures to respond to the company's goals and competitive practices

* Participate in and manage salary/benefit surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved

* Support HR team members and business leadership in job evaluation, offer pricing and review of internal pay equity

* Keep apprised of US and International laws and regulations to ensure company compliance

* Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate

service providers

* Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, local and provider rules, regulations, and policies

* Conduct employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers

* Establish procedures to ensure all employees are assisted appropriately and in a timely manner

* Responsible for the design, administration and implementation of HR systems

* Promote efficient and automated workflows to provide users with appropriate data access and to maximize data integrity

* Availability and willingness to travel to other office locations, ~10%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; required
  • 15 or more years of progressively more responsible Human Resources experience which includes:
    • 5 years of experience in employee benefit design and management
    • 5 years of experience in compensation design and program administration
    • 5 years of experience in HR System administration
    • 5 or more years of experience in a firm that provides engineering/science infrastructure design services
  • Professional certification as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

  • Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred

Preferred education and experience

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or other related field

Base salary range:

$209,017 to $255,465 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California, New York City, Washington or Hawaii markets.

Working conditions:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
